Gabrielle Desmarais, the designer-founder of the eponymous jewelry line, has a background in jewelry from the Montreal Jewelry School and an Intensive development at the renowned Alchimia Jewelery school from Florence, Italy. After a few years mainly focused on the creation of unique sculptural pieces, Gabrielle decided, in 2014, to reorient her practice and to put her creation in favor of a daring and inspired line of jewelry. By focusing on quality materials, good design, the re-valuation of craftsmanship and sustainability, Gabrielle Desmarais reflects the very true spirit of the slowmade process(quality over quantity).

Strongly inspired by the visual arts and architecture associated with the Bauhaus movement, Gabrielle strongly adheres to this movement seeking to promote the connection between Art and Craft. Her creations therefore merge design, crafts and fashion, in order to create functional and original jewelry, made of precious materials and at a fair price. Her jewelry plays a very small role (but of great importance) when you need it most.

Montreal is the birthplace of Atelier Gabrielle Desmarais, but it is now proudly installed in the country, near the water in Chambly, Quebec.
